About the Author
Ms. Covey is an undergraduate at Texas Christian University. She is pursuing a degree in music education, with a vocal concentration. She is a published author for her poetry, but this is her first short story. Her favorite book is Just Listen, by Sarah Dessen. Explaining why, she says, "It brings out the music nerd in me. It made me stop and realize how music has affected my life." She enjoys reading, singing, and spending time with her fiance, Jason. They plan to wed in April of 2010.

No Control was inspired by The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer, Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles, If You Come Softly by Jacqueline Woodson, and most importantly, by the wanderings of the teenage imaginings.
